At Hardingstone Day Nursery we offer a rich and varied range of activities across all our age groups that are specifically designed to be fun, interactive and confidence building.
Our child & baby friendly activities include painting, cooking, singing, story-time, messy play, dressing up and role play. In addition, Hardingstone Day Nursery is delighted to offer children and babies a variety of extra learning opportunities, unique to our nursery, these include:
Our Growing Garden
Providing children with a fantastic opportunity to learn about healthy and delicious food; understanding how fruit and vegetables grow, what they look and feel like and how they taste. The Wise Owls also delight in setting up a mini shop to sell their produce!
Children eagerly access the nursery mud kitchen, where they explore and experiment with mud, sand, free flowing water and a variety of plants and props to extend their play. We provide puddle suits and wellies so that children can get really involved in their play, where learning opportunities for co-operativite play with their peers, problem solving, creative thinking and learning about concepts, amongst many more, are in abundance!
Explore our Natural Garden
We aim to encourage and inspire children through an innovative, long term, educational approach to outdoor play and learning in a natural environment. It’s all about providing children with unique learning opportunities to explore, learn and play outside.
This wonderful facility provides all of our children with the opportunity to enhance their learning and understanding about the world around them through a range of fun, educational and creative outdoor activities.
Music Bugs, Yoga, and French
Your children have access to a variety of activities including Music Bugs, Yoga, and French taught by specialist teachers. These activities are designed to be fun and interactive, as well as providing structure and opportunities for self expression into the children’s daily routine.
The outdoor facilities at Hardingstone Day Nursery are exemplary. As a parent, it is very important that our child is able to play outdoors all year round, experiencing a natural environment. My son shared his delight at discovering some caterpillars on the cabbages at nursery, telling me how they would turn into butterflies one day! – Parent feedback
