As babies and children develop at different rates, they move onto our Happy Hedgehog room when they are ready for a busier environment.
Our knowledgeable staff will always liase with parents when they feel that your child may be ready for the next stage. The Happy Hedgehog room enables children to express their boundless energy and are given careful support to use it well. Growing physical strengths and skills mean children need active times for exercise and quiet times for calmer activities.
Children learn about one another and begin to understand thoughts and feelings, and how to co-operate with one another.
Our experienced staff ensure children learn how to deal with conflicts in a positive manner
Our Happy Hedgehogs room focuses on the three developmental essentials of early care and education in babies:
- Communication and Language Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
Toddlers playing in the garden enjoy exploring the range of paintbrushes, chalks and water pots that they can make marks with on the chalkboard. The staff encourage them to be confident by demonstrating how they can draw and paint on the chalk board and the children are eager to become involved in this activity. – Ofsted 2014
